David Rovine has extensive expertise in marketing, business processes, and venue management. He is highly experienced in transforming business operations, maximizing value, and engaging internal and external audiences to build sustainable, successful results. Additionally, he has developed new business ventures and has overseen turnaround paths for struggling businesses.
As Vice President of the Baltimore Orioles-Sarasota, he achieved unprecedented success in engaging the community to break attendance records for spring training baseball. David branded “Arts in the Ballpark“ to support local art groups and grow new audiences for both entities while increasing revenue and sponsorship sales.
David spent seven years with SMG Entertainment, a worldwide entertainment and venue management company. In his lead role at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, and the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan, Illinois, David was responsible for all day-to-day operations, marketing, and talent–booking for these historic venues.
David‘s experience also includes nearly nine years as Director of Marketing at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, where he oversaw advertising and promotion for the venue, and was responsible for developing and producing concerts and other non-racing events. This out-of-the-box creative marketing strategy resulted in increased bottom–line revenue and a significant turnaround in attendance in an industry facing nationwide declines. See more
